Code of Conduct

Deadzone Paranormal Adventures will undertake the following on all projects:

  1. Act in the best interests of our clients;
  2. Act in the interests of our own personal safety and wellbeing and those of our clients;
  3. Treat clients, guests and members of the public with respect and courtesy;
  4. Take responsibility for our words and actions when working with the public and act in an appropriate manner;
  5. Always have a chaperone present when supplying paranormal services/ advice to those who could be considered vulnerable or people of the opposite sex where appropriate;
  6. Continually seek to improve and develop our knowledge and abilities through, wherever possible, recognised training and certification;
  7. Accept that we all have limitations and should therefore be ready to seek advice, help and assistance from those whose experience may be greater than ours;
  8. Respect the beliefs, philosophy and creeds of others;
  9. Keep any information acquired in the course of our work confidential unless it is required by law or it is contrary to the public interest;
  10. Work within the Data Protection Act;
  11. Work within the law of the UK and/or the country in which we are working;
  12. Use language that can easily be understood by clients and explain anything that they do not understand.

Deadzone Paranormal Adventures will not:

  1. Break the Code of Conduct or the specific guidelines that relate to any of our disciplines;
  2. Falsify any documentation. This includes, but is not limited to: records, reference forms, membership of organisations, training, awards, certification, and qualifications;
  3. Make unsubstantiated claims that are in direct contradiction of the guidelines that relate to any specific discipline;
  4. Use unacceptable behaviour towards a client, colleague or any member of the public. Unacceptable behaviour includes but is not limited to the following: verbal or physical assault, provocation, threat, profane language or insolence, sexual intimidation, harassment or bullying;
  5. Discriminate against anyone on grounds of race, politics, religion, creed, age, sexuality, ability or in any other way that contravenes discrimination laws;
  6. Humiliate, embarrass, undermine, belittle or deliberately cause offence to anyone; Behave in a way that is likely to bring the paranormal movement or our own good standing into disrepute or reflect badly on ourselves or others.
